What Are Pore & Acne Treatments?
Pore and acne refinement is a multi-modality protocol that targets the root causes of persistent breakouts, enlarged pores, and acne scarring. By combining picosecond laser toning, micro-needle energy to reduce sebaceous gland activity, and PRP to stimulate tissue repair, we address acne at the surface level, within the dermis, and through the skin’s own regenerative biology.

PicoSure® Focus Toning
The PicoSure® laser delivers energy in picoseconds, converting it into gentle pressure waves through the Focus™ lens. This creates microscopic activity beneath the skin’s surface without damaging the outer layer, triggering the body’s natural tissue repair process. The result is a reduction in pore size, acne scars, and post-inflammatory pigmentation, with very little redness and no required downtime. Most clients notice improvements in skin tone, texture, and clarity within the series.
Acne Facial Therapy
This targeted treatment works by delivering thermal energy directly to the sebaceous glands through insulated micro-needle technology. By selectively reducing the activity of the oil-producing glands responsible for breakouts, it addresses acne at the source rather than at the surface.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a naturally derived treatment sourced directly from the client’s own blood. After a standard blood draw, the sample is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which are then delivered back into the skin through precise injections or alongside microneedling. These platelets release essential growth factors that stimulate collagen production to smooth acne scars and refine skin texture. Since PRP is autologous, the treatment carries a virtually nonexistent risk of allergic reaction or rejection.

PicoSure®
PicoSure® is a picosecond laser that delivers energy in trillionths of a second, fast enough to create a photomechanical effect rather than a thermal one. This means pigment and damaged tissue are disrupted through pressure rather than heat, reducing the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The proprietary Focus™ lens converts laser energy into pressure waves that activate cell signaling, stimulating new collagen and elastin production with no downtime.
Eclipse PRP and EmCyte PurePRP® SP
Deluxe Med Spa and Wellness offers two clinical-grade PRP systems. Eclipse PRP uses a specialized collection tube and custom centrifuge to achieve a high platelet yield with low inflammatory byproducts. EmCyte PurePRP® SupraPhysiologic (SP) is an advanced autologous PRP system that delivers a high concentration of deliverable platelets while selectively removing red blood cells and granulocytes that can cause pain or prolong inflammation at the injection site. Both systems are FDA-cleared and closed systems, supporting a safe and sterile treatment process.

Recovery and Results
Immediately After Treatment
Clients may experience mild redness or flushing for 1 to 2 hours following PicoSure® toning. PRP injection sites may show minor swelling or pinpoint redness that typically resolves within 24 hours. Most clients are comfortable returning to normal activities the same day.
The First Week
Skin tone and clarity begin to improve as the body’s repair processes activate. For clients addressing active acne, a reduction in inflammation is often noticeable within the first few days.
The Series
Results from this protocol are cumulative. We typically recommend a series of 4 to 6 treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, adjusted based on the severity of acne and scarring. PRP sessions may be scheduled less frequently depending on individual response.
Long-Term Maintenance
Once the primary concerns are addressed, periodic maintenance sessions help sustain collagen density, pore refinement, and sebaceous gland regulation over time.
